HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT

OPEN DOOR CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

We hope that you have begun to catch the vision of Open Door Christian Ministries. You can join us in this ministry in 10 different ways:

  1. PRAY! (check our our prayer concerns by clicking here).

  2. Financial Support: It takes regular support by Churches and Individuals to keep the ministry running smoothly. Although most of our financial support comes from churches, we also receive support from individuals, clubs, organizations, and interested groups. You can give a monetary donation right on-line!

  3. Donations: We often receive donations of dry goods, clothing, school supplies, and paper goods. These are sometimes collected by youth groups, ladies groups, the boy scouts, and Vacation Bible School kids. We also have a list of things that we use a lot or need.

  4. SPECIAL PROMOTIONS

a. Clip the  Boxtops for Education coupon on the specially marked boxes of General Mills products. Send them to us for redemption.

b. Remove the labels from Campbell Soup cans and other Campbells products and send them to us for redemption.

  1. Work Projects: We have over 70 acres of land and several building to keep up. There are always projects that need to be done by interested men’s groups, youth groups and individuals who volunteer their time and expertise.

  2. Visits: We welcome groups and individuals who want to come and visit with the kids. Visits can be arranged by calling the houseparents and setting up a time. Some groups come play games with the kids, go swimming, lead devotional studies, eat a meal, or just talk. We appreciate our visitors!

  3. Recommend Children who are in need of our services. If you know of someone who is in need, please give them our name and number, or call our main office.

  4. Become a relief houseparent. Being a houseparent is a 24/7 job. We can always use interested, qualified people to step in and give our houseparents a night or weekend off.

  5. Get involved with the kids: You can send cards on their birthdays, become pen pals, or even visit. We are always in need of people who can help with tutoring; We are always grateful for the wonderful volunteers who come to help the children in reading, spelling, mathematics and more.
