Door Policies:
I. The following
will be considered for admission
a. ages from
birth to 16 years
b. from broken
homes
c. orphaned
d. abused
e. neglected
f. from homes
unable to support them
II. Open
Door
Christian
Ministries
presently consists of one home,
which can care for as many as
ten children.
a. It is designed
for long-term care. This is to
provide opportunity for the children to develop.
While short term in not prohibited, it is discouraged.
b. Children may
stay at Open Door until:
- a suitable
home is provided.
- they are ready
to take their place in society.
c. We hope that
each child reaching maturity and leaving the home would always view the home,
just as any child does when he leaves his natural home.
III. Support
Open
Door
Christian
Ministries
began with and is sustained
for the most part by
Church
of
Christ
and
Independent
Christian
Churches.
This brotherhood has no denominational headquarters or heads.
It is a united effort of individual and independent churches toward a
common goal of Christian benevolence. We
are committed to teaching and practicing Christianity as taught in the New
Testament.
Methods
of support are: prayer, donations (food, household products, etc), financial
gifts and time.
